R.M. Williams has started working with Australian company ‘Good Earth Cotton', a climate positive and traceable cotton.

The clothing assortment consists of t-shirts and sweatshirts for both men and women, in colours of grey, navy and khaki.

All styles have been crafted in Australia and are part of a broader commitment to more sustainable practices for the brand.

The move comes as the brand unveiled its opening and closing ceremony kits for the Australian Commonwelath Gamws team this week.

The uniform offering includes a capsule range of formal looks for both men and women, plus limited-edition leather boots, handcrafted in Adelaide.

In a commitment to local production, most of the range has been manufactured in Australia.

Over 690 uniforms will be crafted in total, outfitting the athletes and officials on the Australian Commonwealth Games Team.

This is the second time that R.M.Williams has partnered with Commonwealth Games Australia on the design and production of ceremonial uniforms, having previously done so for the Gold Coast 2018 Commonwealth Games.

The brand has also created ceremonial kits for the Australian Paralympic Team for the Tokyo 2020 Olympic Games, as part of a long-term commitment to supporting the nation’s sporting elite.

R.M. Williams heas of product development Scott Faulder said the range was made with local shores front of mind.

“With the majority of this collection crafted on Australian soil, we’re taking a step forward in sustainable production and bringing manufacturing home.”
