Global sportswear brand Puma has appointed Daniel Pustina as the general manager of Oceania, commencing on January 2, 2024.
Pustina will be replacing Daniel ‘Pancho’ Gutstein, who will exit the business at the end of December to take on a new role.
Pustina takes on the Oceania role after four years in the Puma business, most recently in the role of head of sales for Central Europe.
Prior to Puma, he worked for over four years at Hype Sports Innovation as lead mentor and director of business development. He also worked at Under Armour for over four-and-a-half years, and over 11 years at Adidas.
“This is an incredible opportunity to join the Oceania team, working in an area that has such a passionate sport following and culture,” Pustina said. “I can’t wait to get to Australia and New Zealand to meet our team, customers and partners and continue the growth for Puma in the market.”
Puma area general manager of Southeast Asia and Oceania Sanjay Roy thanked Gutstein for his contribution.
“Pancho’s been with Puma for 15 years, both in Oceania and in the US and has been a passionate advocate for our brand,” Roy said. “He has been able to successfully take the Oceania business to the next level and on behalf of the whole Puma team, I thank him for all his work, and wish him well for his new challenge.
“In Daniel Pustina, I believe we have found a great person to take the Oceania team forward. With his wealth of experience and great service attitude towards business partners, I am confident we will be able to further unlock the potential of the Oceania region.”
