Puma has launched a revamped version of its Accelerate range of netball shoes, following the Australasian launch of the collection last year.

The new and improved collection has been designed to improve the netballer's speed, agility and velocity and features a tighter shoe fit, narrower heel and increased medial arch support and cushioning.

To celebrate the launch of the new shoe, Puma tapped professional netballers and Puma ambassadors, Adelaide Thunderbird Tippah Dwan and Queensland Firebird Jemma Mi Mi to test out the shoe.

"It was great to try on the new Accelerates," Dwan said.

"I’m not sure if it was psychological or not, but I definitely felt I was moving faster around the court.

"Almost like I had an extra spring in my step when pivoting quickly in either direction.

"Hopefully this will give me an advantage against opposition defenders this season," she said.

The launch of the new Accelerate shoe firms Puma's commitment to women's sport, which is aligned with its global women’s platform #SheMovesUs.

This commitment came to life in Australia with the #WitnessFearless campaign in 2020, followed by The Fearless Podcast Series which featured the stories of female athletes across various sporting codes.

The Puma Accelerate NCT Nitro W+ and NCT Pro W+ are available now on the Puma website, in Puma stores and Rebel stores.

The Accelerate NCT Nitro W+ shoe will retail for $220, while the Accelerate NCT Pro W+ will retail for $170.
