Puma Australia has teamed up with Australian artists Tones And I and Kaiit for its inaugural Puma Sessions broadcast.
On July 31 the sportswear label will broadcast a live performance from the artists on its Australian Instagram account.
As part of the broadcast, both artists have chosen to support Warriors of the Aboriginal Resistance (WAR), a collective of young Aboriginal people committed to the cause of decolonisation and the philosophy of Aboriginal nationalism.
To support this organisation, for a 24 hour period from the start of the performance, Puma will donate $1 to WAR for every new follower to the Australian Instagram account.
Puma is aiming for a final pledge of $5000.
Speaking on her involvement, Kaiit said that she is thrilled to both be able to perform again and raise funds for WAR.
"I’m really excited to be able to be part of the inaugural Puma Sessions in Australia, where not only do I get to perform again but I get to help raise money for an important collective like WAR, as well as perform along Tones’ – who has been a creative
peer and friend for some time.
"I’m excited for everyone to see what magic we’ve all whipped up," she said.
The broadcast will be hosted by local MC Tawana Basutu.
