Modibodi and Puma will launch a physical and digital activation next month called ‘The Change Room’.
The Change Room is both a global online space and pop-up store in Sydney, Australia, where consumers can swap their white or light-coloured sports uniform for a free pair Puma x Modibodi leak-proof Active shorts.
The pop-up activation in Sydney will also allow consumers to swap old football boots for a new pair of Puma women’s soccer shoes.
The physical space will operate between July 15 and 16 at Pitt Street Mall, Sydney. The first 150 people to book and attend each day can swap their old uniforms and soccer boots.
The digital site will make its global launch on July 15, with the first 300 people to upload a picture of themselves in their white or light-coloured uniform given a free pair of the Active Shorts.
Modibodi design and innovation director Charissa Lanham said the 2-in-1 Active Shorts are a new addition to its Puma partnership.
“This Mod-Heavy style can hold 2-3 tampons, without looking or feeling bulky,” Lanham said. “Innovative, breathable and with a fast drying lining these shorts look and feel just like your regular training gear.”
Puma chief product officer Maria Valdes said the venture is aimed at inclusivity.
“Together with Modibodi, we envision a world where barriers to women in sport no longer exist. The Change Room is one step toward that, where athletes can leave behind outdated uniforms and football boots for ones that are best suited to their performance.”
