Australian footwear retailer Platypus has launched a ‘Great Platy Women’ video campaign to mark International Women’s Day.
In a series of videos, seven women within Platypus’ senior leadership answer 35 quick-fire questions around their work, lives and personalities.
The aim of the campaign is to inspire young women in their creative and career pursuits.
Speaking on the campaign, Platypus head of marketing Briony Kent said she allows her team to test and try new things.
“I'm so proud of my team and the projects we have turned around that have really put Platypus on the map,” Kent said. “It shows how much trust the company puts in our leadership for huge brand campaigns and collaborations.”
Platypus is part of Accent Group’s trend division, which includes Glue Store, Hype DC, Skechers and Stylerunner.
Accent Group said it currently has a 64% representation of female leaders at the senior management level throughout the company.
Accent Group CEO Daniel Agostinelli and Divisional CEO Armando Pedruco said they are both committed to growing the development of all women in the business.
“This International Women’s Day, we will be celebrating our female leaders that drive creativity, take risks and support a team, to bring world-class omni channel experiences with impact to the Australian market,” Pedruco said.
“We want to ensure our female leaders at Accent Group are supported every day of the year, and it is a core focus of ours to continue to drive female-led leadership teams within the organisation for many generations to come.”
