Organisers of the Perth Fashion Festival (PFF) have announced the dates for the 2012 instalment, with a raft of fresh initiatives designed to boost this year's attendance numbers.
PFF, Western Australia’s largest annual fashion event, will kick off this year on September 19 and will run until September 25, with 40 fashion events scheduled for the week.
The Lord Mayor and Perth Fashion Festival ambassador Lisa Scaffidi will continue in her role as the festival ambassador this year, with PFF also gaining support from the State Government through Eventscorp, the Department of Culture & Arts and the City of Perth.
PFF director Mariella Harvey-Hanrahan said she expects PFF 2012 to out-do last year's event, which to date is the biggest and most successful in PFF’s 13-year history. The 2011 event showcased 166 designers and attracted an audience of over 47,000 attendees, including national and international celebrities, fashion buyers and media.
“We are excited to announce PFF’s 2012 dates and look forward to revealing some fresh new initiatives in the coming months," she said.
"Over the last 13 years we’ve reached amazing heights and in 2012 are again looking to build on our past successes so that we continue to develop opportunities domestically and beyond for our local designers and creative talent."
