Shippit has announced the appointment of Australian logistics veteran, Dominic Culbert to head of logistics.
Culbert was most recently the group logisitcs and delivery solutions manager at Mysale Group, where he oversaw the implementation and development of the company's international and domestic delivery network.
Shippit has stated that Culbert will now be responsible for driving the company's logistics strategy as it looks to expand into the APAC market and consolidate its position in Australia.
Culbert said he was excited about the opportunities ahead, as well as the chance to grow Shippit's platform further.
“I see numerous opportunities to drive improvement in eCommerce shipping around tracking, visibility and cost savings, particularly in the Asian markets, which are growing in leaps and bounds.
"Shippit has the ability to fill a niche in this region where customers want cost effective, seamless international solutions.
"For us that means expanding our offering such as adding new carriers and new capabilities to cater to the needs of global retailers.”
Shippit co-founder Will On said the hire was a part of the company's strategic vision focused on improving its growth trajectory.
