Fashion publication Oyster has announced a new partnership with fellow independent magazine doingbird.
The collaboration follows Inception Digital's acquisition of Oyster in 2014 which will see the relaunch of the magazine as a quartlerly title in May next year.
Inception Digital has also acquired commercial discussions for doingbird and is currently representing the publication across digital and print sales.
The rollout will launch with the doingbird team Max Doyle and Malcolm Watt guest editing Oyster's May 2016 edition.
Watt believes the partnership will strengthen a longstanding relationship between the publications.
“A unique, original vision is our pursuit.
“When Malcolm and I first met 16 years ago, he was working at Oyster and I was shooting for them.
“Those days planted the seed of collaboration and, therefore, it feels apt that we return together now for the 'Origins' issue.”
Inception Digital managing director Jade Harley believes that merging the titles will significantly expand its publishing portfolio.
“Both Oyster and doingbird have recognition and audiences on a global scale which add to our already impressive portfolio of publishers and platforms.
“The scale of our network means that now, more so than ever before, Inception Digital is the number one destination for brands looking to engage with influential audiences and leaders of the pack.”
