Neuw Denim and Holly Ryan have collaborated on a five piece limited edition capsule collection.
The collaboration will be available in limited numbers as of September.
The partnership between Neuw and Holly Ryan is aimed at promoting sustainability and zero waste.
This year marked the launch of Neuw Zero, a responsible and sustainable production initiative to reduce the environmental impact of the denim manufacturing and production process.
Zero sees the introduction of a complete overhaul of traditional denim washing methods.
The water used in the manufacturing process is entirely renewed, reused, and recycled with zero waste being discharged as contaminated sewage into the water grid.
Ryan is also committed employing low or zero waste processes and using sustainable materials.
For this collection Holly Ryan has designed signature, graphic buttons in her iconic ‘Picasso’ face, crafted in recycled metals.
This limited run of garments have been hand-stitched, hand-brushed, and hand-grinded to produce a distressed aesthetic without the use of harmful chemicals.
The bespoke, hand crafted Holly Ryan button has been hand-sewn onto each garment locally in Melbourne by the Neuw team.
The collaboration further extends to include Ryan’s circle of creative friends; Isabella Manfredi, Kitty Callaghan, Matilda Dodds, Rosie Dalton, Jerico Tracy and Holly Ryan herself are featured in a three-part campaign, shot by Sydney based multi-media artist, Kitty Callaghan.
The limited edition capsule collection will be available in limited numbers in select David Jones stores and neuwdenim.com as of September.
