Global luxury marketplace Net-A-Porter has partnered with the National Gallery of Victoria (NGV) for its Melbourne Winter Masterpieces 2023 exhibit, Pierre Bonnard: Designed by India Mahdavi.

The exhibition showcases 100 works by the French artist and is Australia’s largest survey of the 20th-century post-Impressionist artist, known for his use of colour and portrayals of domestic scenes.

YOOX Net-A-Porter APAC GM Natalie Lee said the partnership reflects a shift in consumer behaviour.

“Today’s customers expect businesses to attune to their own desires and values, with intuitive experiences across channels that reflect their shopping preferences whilst also being conscious of their cultures and traditions,” Lee said.

“It is our honour to support this world-exclusive exhibition in Melbourne which acts as a lens to see fashion. not as a commodity, but as an aspiration that is long-lasting and elicits emotion.

“Through understanding and engaging with our Australian customers with a localized approach, we connect deeply with them and create relevant meaningful luxury experiences for them that aligns with their cultural values.”

The exhibition will operate until October 8, 2023. Net-A-Porter sells to over 170 countries worldwide.
