Model and entrepreneur Lara Worthington will become the face of Myer’s upcoming Summer 23 campaign. She is currently in Australia shooting the campaign alongside brand ambassadors Cody Simpson and Kris Smith.
Myer chief customer officer Geoff Ikin said it was a strategic move to sign on Worthington.
“Lara's sense of style, authenticity, and strong connection with the Australian audience align perfectly with our brand and reflect the effortless sophistication that our summer epitomizes,” Ikin said.
Worthington said Myer has always been a cornerstone of Australian fashion.
“Working with brands that share a deep connection with our country’s heritage and culture such as Myer is a privilege, and it’s been wonderful to collaborate with them,” Worthington said.
“The shoot with Myer was so much fun - long days with 4 am starts and juggling jetlag, but the results were worth it.
“The campaign was shot by Pierre Toussaint who I have worked with since I was 15, it’s always great to reconnect and collaborate on projects like this together.”
It comes as the department store finalises the onboarding of Country Road Group.
Myer will range the complete portfolio of Country Road, including womens, mens, kids, and home. In addition to Country Road, Witchery, Mimco, and Politix will return to the department store, with Trenery joining for the first time.
