Myer has moved its store support office (SSO) to a new location on La Trobe street in Melbourne's Docklands.

According to the department store, the new office is equipped with new technology, is energy efficient and provides team members with a modern office environment to work in.

The office design is centred on open plan working and features break out areas, support spaces and vertical floor integrations.

"Congrats to all involved in moving Myer to our new, more appropriately sized store support office at 1000 La Trobe Street in Docklands, ensuring the best office environment for our team members, whilst reducing costs to the business," Myer said in a statement.

"Our team are loving the new SSO," the business said.

The move into the new SSO comes after the department store reported strong results for the first half of FY22, resulting in a payment of a dividend to shareholders for the first time in four years.

Myer reported an 8.5% lift in total sales to $1.5 billion for the first half, and will pay a dividend of 1.5 cents per share later this month.
