Australian jeweller Moi Moi has launched a Bridal Borrow rental program for fine jewellery.
It is the first of its kind in Australia.
Clients who spent $10,000 in one transaction including an engagement ring are eligible. From there, they can reserve pieces from Moi Moi’s collection to wear. Borrowed pieces can be acquired for a special VIP price, with the only cost to the Bridal Borrow program being an administration fee of $50 to secure pieces and cover insurance.
Moi Moi Fine Jewellery co-founder Lauren Sommer said the move into rental came after personal experience.
“I remember looking for jewellery for my own wedding and struggling to find beautiful pieces that aligned with both my budget and vision for the big day,” Sommer said. “I was reluctant to invest a huge amount into jewellery when I had our wedding and other expenses to think of.”
Sommer said Moi Moi’s mission is to bring affordable fine jewellery to consumers. Moi Moi was the first brand to introduce lab-grown diamonds and moissanite to Australia in 2004.
“As a family business, we feel privileged to be part of our clients’ special days,” Sommer said. “We believe that every milestone deserves to be celebrated in style and this program empowers brides to do just that.
“We know there’s strong demand for the Bridal Borrow Program and we are thrilled to launch this first.”
For brides who wish to buy their borrowed jewels, Moi Moi Fine Jewellery will offer them to the client at an exclusive price.
