Australian global absorbent brand Modibodi has expanded its sleepwear range with a first-to-market launch designed to tackle night sweats.
Called the ModiCool Sleep Set, the range includes a classic style t-shirt, shorts and matching pillowcase.
This is the brand's first venture into temperature-regulating product, with the apparel set made predominately from cotton and Tencel.
The pillowcase is made from organic cotton and bio-based tech, which is reported to rapidly absorb sweat and cool the skin.
Modibodi design and innovation director Charissa Lanham said the venture was launched in a bid to tackle night sweats.
Lanham said the key step in producing the range was to find fabrics and materials that could act as a cooling agent, absorb sweat and dry quickly.
“Another step in the process was having a look at other Australian brands dominating the sleepwear space,” Lanham said. “With our sleep range, we wanted to provide a point of difference, delivering both instant contact cooling and continuous evaporative cooling for optimal wellbeing, be it day or night.
“Considering what our consumers would most like to see in sleepwear, we opted for a classic style with the t-shirt set.”
“Numerous testing rounds were also a critical part of the development process – included in this was lab testing at RMIT, testing of treatments, and product wear testing.”
The range, available in sizes 8 to 26, is available online with plans to expand it in future.
“We’re always considering how we can innovate and expand on our product offerings, and we’re excited to see what the future holds for this range," Lanham said.
