Michael Hill has published a children's book in partnership with Save the Children ahead of Christmas.

Michael Hill founder Sir Michael Hill has illustrated the book titled 'Ellie-Mae's Sparkle', which is authored by Emma Mactaggart.

A percentage of proceeds from the sale of each paperback book will support Save the Children’s work in Australia and around the world, including its COVID-19 response.

Save the Children works to protect children from abuse and neglect, provide access to healthcare and education and to assist children in times of emergency.

In 2019, Save the Children directly reached 38.7 million of the world’s most vulnerable children across 117 countries.

Save the Children CEO Paul Ronalds said that the business is thrilled to partner with Michael Hill on the new book.

"Save the Children is on the frontline of the COVID-19 response delivering life-saving aid, development and support programs to keep children safe during this crisis.

"That’s why we’re delighted to be partnering with Michael Hill to protect a generation of children.

"Gifting a copy of Ellie-Mae’s Sparkle will assist us in supporting vulnerable communities around the world," he said.

Michael Hill CEO Daniel Bracken added that he hopes the book will bring some sparkle to families across Australia.

"We thank each individual who purchases a copy of Ellie-Mae’s Sparkle for helping us support the important work of Save the Children.

"We hope you love reading this story and that it brings some extra sparkle to you and your loved ones," he said.

Ellie-Mae's Sparkle will be available to purchase online and in Michael Hill stores.
