Finnish fashion and lifestyle house Marimekko has expanded its online store services to New Zealand this late April.
The global brand has also updated its Instagram account to reflect the market expansion.
Marimekko’s full range across ready-to-wear, bags, accessories and home décor will be available for New Zealand customers to access.
“We are excited to extend our services to New Zealand, a country that shares our appreciation for innovative design and responsible practices,” head of market area Australia and New Zealand Dan Worland said.
“By offering shipping to New Zealand, we hope to bring more people into the Marimekko community and help them discover our brand’s optimistic lifestyle.”
Marimekko was founded in 1951 and has since expanded globally. The premium design house has around 170 doors globally. Locally, Marimekko manages three stores, including its flagship in Westfield Sydney. The brand has been selling into Australia since the 1960s.
According to the design house, the Asian-Pacific region is one of its key market areas.
