Mambo is set to return to its roots, with the launch of a new premium range Mambo Surf De Luxe.

The collection features new and heritage artwork from Reg Mombassa, Dave McKay and new talent Chloe Kovska and Mambo creative director Nathan Sheahan.

Mambo brand manager Matt Macaulay said the new collection pays homage to the brand's roots.

"Mambo in the 80s and 90s was in a world of its own - played by its own rules and did incredible things in arts, politics, music and with grassroots communities.

"That's where the brand was born and what it's about.

"Mambo Surf De Luxe lives and breathes that same ethos," he said.

While embracing its heritage, Mambo Surf De Luxe is also embracing new age fabrics and movements, committing to a fully sustainable and eco-friendly product offering.

Currently, the brand uses certified sustainable fabrics, with eco-friendly tags such as certified organically grown cotton, EcoVero or Repreve, in the majority of the range.

In addition to environmental practices, sustainability and ethical sourcing, Mambo Surf De Luxe supports the community through internal policies and partnerships.

One such partnership is with i-Change, which sees the brand support Australian initiatives including Clean The Sea, Restore The Reef and Empower with Literacy.

The new Mambo Surf De Luxe collection features limited-edition Loud Shirts and unisex styles across 54 pieces.

It is available exclusively through the Mambo Surf De Luxe website and retails from $24.99 to $119.99.
