Australian accessories brand Maison de Sabre has announced the release of a new high-density silicone, Jelligrain.
The material is waterproof, impact resistant, and shock absorbent with high resolution 3D scanning replicating the texture of the brand's full grain leather offering.
CEO Omar Sabre said the material aims to be an all-new biocompatible leather alternative to the luxury market.
“We wanted to create a material that carried the signature tactile DNA of Maison de Sabré in a new form," he explained.
"What followed was an intensive nine month journey of innovation that opened our eyes to endless possibilities with Jelligrain."
The first application of the new material is the brand's phone case, featiring integrated buttons, ports and raised 3D-contoured edges,
Engineered to bounce on impact, each Jelligrain case is finished with an anti-static matte coating and a shrunken mould to secure phones to each case.
