Sportswear label LSKD (Loose Kid) will open its ninth store at Melbourne Central Shopping Centre on October 28, tripling its bricks-and-mortar count in 2023.
This is the brand’s second location in Victoria and follows the launch of its first international store and headquarters this year. Last month, the LSKD opened its third store in Queensland at Westfield Carindale.
"We started the year with three stores, and now we're about to open our ninth; it just feels so surreal," LSKD founder and CEO Jason Daniel said. "Our previous store opening was our biggest one yet, with over 650 of our community lining up before opening, and we hope to make this one bigger and better."
The 130 square metre store will house its core styles, accessories and latest collections across men's, women's and unisex styles. It will be fitted with the brand’s staple leggings wall and a new lighting system in the change rooms that includes four settings: run, gym, home, and vibes.
LSKD omnichannel specialist Macauley Ryan said the brand has also included a local running map as part of its store fitout. It is the first iteration of its kind in a LSKD store.
"We have printed the 'LSKD Melbourne Run Loop' map on the ceiling of the store,” Ryan said. "The run route starts from our store and goes around the iconic 'tan track' and back. We can't wait to see who from our community lays down the quickest time."
LSKD will continue its store opening initiative, where customers can swap their used tights or shorts for a new pair - with 300 new pairs of tights and shorts available.
The sportswear brand will work closely with its partner Upparel to recycle or reuse the donated items they receive.
The store opening day also include entertainment, samples, exclusive products and prizes.
LSKD will continue its retail rollout in 2024 locally and abroad, with the Gold Coast and the Sunshine Coast being identified as key regions.
