Former retail leader of Lululemon and Bailey Nelson, Alex Shaughnessy, has been appointed as the first-ever chief retail officer for Australian sportswear brand LSKD.

Her new role will cover LSKD’s global growth, retail operations, and team skill development.

"We're so excited to have Alex join our team as our first Chief Retail Officer," LSKD founder and CEO Jason Daniel said.

"She brings amazing experience in retail, community, and leadership, as we continue our retail growth and aligning it to our mission to inspire our community to be 1% better every day."

Shaughnessy began her retail career with a 13-year tenure at Lululemon, working her way up to director of retail and community, leading over 40 stores as well as the national wholesale and community department for Australia and New Zealand.

Prior to joining LSKD, Alex held the role of head of retail for AU/NZ at Bailey Nelson, where she oversaw more than 70 stores across the region, taking charge of retail operations, customer service, and communications.

She also held a general manager role at Koko Black.

“I am so excited to be a part of a company that is up to big things and has a team that truly embodies the mission and values,” Shaughnessy said.

“I'll be focusing on growing our retail channel, bringing our mission to life in new stores and new communities to be 1% better every day.

“It's exciting to be able to bring our incredible online community experience to life in stores, to be able to expand the community, and support the growth of so many leaders across the business in AUNZ.”

LSKD is preparing to open its 10th store on March 30, 2024 at Sunshine Plaza, with Pacific Fair to follow on May 4.
