Australian-owned sportswear brand LSKD will open a new store at Grand Central Toowoomba on Saturday, June 22, bringing the brand’s total store count to 12 nationally.

It follows the recent launch of its flagship store at Queensland’s Pacific Fair on May 25 last month, with the brand now operating six stores in the sunshine state, four in Sydney and two in Melbourne. The brand also operates one store in San Diego, California in the United States, which also doubles as its US headquarters.

"We are so excited to open LSKD in Grand Central Toowoomba,” founder and CEO Jason Daniel said. “I grew up racing motocross at Echo Valley and it's such an amazing community.

“To be able to localise with the fitness community here and inspire through our mission of 1% better every day is something we are very passionate about."

The Grand Central store spans 170 square metres and will share design similarities with the recently opened Sunshine Plaza store. It will stock core styles and accessories across men’s, women’s and unisex categories, and will offer exclusive Toowoomba t-shirts and hoodies, available only on opening day.

The store will also feature a local community board highlighting local LSKD athletes.

On opening day, LSKD is expecting a large turnout from the community, with the first 600 customers having the opportunity to swap their used tights or shorts for a new pair from LSKD. This is part of the brand’s collaboration with Upparel, with all donated items either recycled or reused.

LSKD chief retail officer Alex Shaughnessy said the store will add to the brand’s connection with Toowoomba.

“We’ve done a few events and gone to many classes here over the last few weeks, and it’s been such a fun and welcoming community,” Shaughnessy said. “We’re so excited to keep building here."
