Australian sportswear brand LSKD (Loose Kid) will open a new store in Queensland’s Westfield Carindale on September 9, taking its total store count to eight.

The 130 square metre Carindale store becomes LSKD’s third store in Queensland, adding to Chermside and Loganholme, with plans to open another store in Australia by the end of this year.

The sporting label also operates 3 stores in Sydney, 2 in Melbourne and one in San Diego in the United States.

LSKD will open the store with its usual shorts and tights swap and will offer exclusive in-store access to its new collection in collaboration with Australia’s health and fitness entrepreneur Georgie Stevenson.

LSKD and Stevenson launched a product collection last year, with pieces reportedly selling out within 10 minutes.

“2023 has been a transformative year as I stepped into my life as a new mum in business,” she said.

“My vision was to create a capsule wardrobe in neutral tones that are trans-seasonal pieces that people will wear for seasons to come.”

Stevenson will be present at the store opening between 8am and 10am as part of a meet and greet.

Westfield Carindale centre manager Megan Fogarty welcomed LSKD to its 450+ store portfolio.

“As a new leader in sportswear, the arrival of LSKD demonstrates our ongoing commitment to delivering innovative brands that meet the interests of our customers, and we are excited to be offering the community a destination to shop all of their activewear needs,” Fogarty said.

The brand is expecting to attract hundreds of its consumer base on opening day, with 300 gift bags available to the community, and a golden ticket giveaway where customers can meet with the brand's athletes.

LSKD was born in 2007. It opened its first retail store in late 2022.
