French luxury brand Longchamp has reopened its Melbourne CBD boutique with a new concept design.

It is the second Australian store to feature the new style, following the first in Brisbane CBD which opened in February 2023.

The Melbourne boutique is situated along Collins Street, alongside other high-end retailers such as Givenchy, Celine, Cartier and Giorgio Armani.

The front window includes a Pierre Renart wave table, with bookshelf-like displays featured inside the store, as well as a lounge area.

"Once again, we are elated to bring Longchamp's boutique concept to Australia,” Longchamp AU/NZ general manager Julie Therond said.

“It is an honour to share the much-loved Parisian apartment style that naturally exudes warmth, creativity, and a cosmopolitan mindset.

“It is our desire that our clients will feel at home and inspired by the curated selection of leather goods, accessories, and l’objets d’art reflecting our values and passion for craftsmanship."

Australian artist John Aslanidis was commissioned for a key artwork called ‘Sonic No.93’.

"I create paintings which occupy the dimension that exists between painting and sound," Aslanidis said.

"Sonic No.93 has a reductive palette and composition which is encoded with an aesthetic that radiates optimism.”
