Australian swimwear label Lisa Blue has strengthened ties with two surfwear powerhouse brands in a move to expand.
The Byron Bay-based label, which dropped its first line via Quiksilver and Roxy Bali stores in August this year, has now bolstered the partnership with plans to launch the collection in Australian stores from this month.
Lisa Blue owner and designer Lisa Burke said six key styles from the first drop and second summer drops will be sold in all Quiksilver and Roxy stores nationally from November for summer, with a larger summer 2012 range to be released from July.
“Having the opportunity to offer Lisa Blue in various Quiksilver/ Roxy outlets is great news for Lisa Blue,” she said.
“The Quiksilver/ Roxy team have demonstrated a passionate support for Lisa Blue and what the brand represents. They are excited about working with us, and by offering their wisdom that has come from years of experience in the industry. It is always a challenge to get the right balance between the commercial market demands and the creative flare that comes from the soul. They envisage Lisa Blue as adding a new component to the QS stores, [and] Lisa Blue is always looking for a way to get the product more widely spread across the globe.”
The Lisa Blue summer 2011/12 collection features over 15 styles in sizes six to 14, with price points ranging from $69.95 for bikini bottoms, and $74.95 for bikini tops, to $169.95 for one pieces.
The brand also donates 25 per cent of net profits to the Australian Whale Conservation Society (AWCS).
