American denim-wear brand Levi’s has opened its first-ever store in Christchurch, New Zealand.
Located at Westfield Riccarton, it marks the brand’s fourth full-price store in the country, with others in Wellington, Dunedin and Sylvia Park. Levi’s also operates an outlet in Onehunga.
To mark the opening, Levi’s will offer an exclusive new range that commemorates the 150th anniversary of its iconic 501 jeans. It includes a 150th Birthday Trucker Jacket ($219.95), a 150th Birthday Mini Tee ($59.95) and a 150th Birthday 501 Back Pocket Tote Bag ($119.95).
Westfield Riccarton centre manager Chris Mills welcomed the new brand to its store portfolio.
“We know that our customers will enjoy the convenience and experience of being able to shop the Levi’s range locally in-store and will join in celebrating with Levi’s as they launch their exclusive 150th anniversary range.”
Across Australia and New Zealand, the brand operates 29 stores, including Riccarton. It also operates 12 outlets across the two countries, as well as a wide wholesale distribution through various size retailers, including Myer and Just Jeans.
