American accessories brand LeSportsac has launched a pop-up store in Sydney in partnership with Asian brand operator Bluebell Group.
It marks the brand’s first physical entrance into Australia.
The pop-up is located in The Galeries - home to other fashion retailers such as P.E Nation and Incu - and will introduce LeSportsac’s Classic and Essential collection. It opened in late November and will run through for six months.
This initial market entrance comes as LeSportsac prepares to launch an Australian-specific e-commerce platform by mid-December.
The brand was founded in 1974 and has since grown to over 400 retail stores across 20 countries. Over the years, LeSportsac has collaborated with global fashion icons such as Stella McCartney, Diane Von Furstenberg, Jonathan Adler and Gwen Stefani.
LeSportsac sells a range of handbags, travel bags, totes, messengers, backpacks and accessories.
Bluebell Group will oversee all operations, marketing initiatives, and future brand development for LeSportsac in Australia.
Established in 2022, Bluebell's Australian arm operates brands such as Gentle Monster, Pinko, Owndays and Venchi in the local market.
Bluebell Group was founded in 1954. Today, the family-owned business has over 4,000 employees and 650 points of sale across 10 markets globally.
“It is such a great honour for us to extend our existing partnership with LeSportsac in South East Asia and Taiwan to the Australian market,” Bluebell Southeast Asia and Australia MD Nelly Ngadiman said.
“Our commitment to retail excellence and understanding local consumer preferences positions us as the ideal partner for LeSportsac’s entry into Australia.
“We look forward to a continued successful collaboration with LeSportsac and to growing the brand in the dynamic Australian market.”
