Global streetwear label Ksubi has teamed up with Australian style icon Elle Ferguson to launch a capsule range, ‘Ksubi by Elle’.

The four-piece capsule includes an oversized trucker jacket and three bottoms in classic mid-blue denim with tobacco stitching, finished with distressing.

The three bottoms include a pair of jeans, a pair of shorts and a micro mini skirt.

Each piece in the collection is finished with custom elements, including a collaborative Ksubi by Elle T-Box, custom swing tag, and Elle’s signature and ‘Dreamed up in Bondi’ phrase on the inside of each piece.

Each piece also comes with a removable keychain. The keychain features beads and 3D charms in Ksubi’s T-Box branding with an Elle twist on the smiley tote bag - referencing Ksubi’s heritage as it was the bag available exclusively at Ksubi’s Bondi Beach boutique in the early 2000s.

Each denim bottom also comes with a custom ‘Dreamed Up In Bondi’ ribbon tied through the back belt loops to cinch the waist.

According to Ferguson, she fell in love with the brand in the early 2000s, when she was working on the same street as the Ksubi Bondi Beach boutique.

“Denim runs in my DNA,” Ferguson said. “Ksubi to me is the pinnacle of denim and working with the team has been a dream ever since my mum and I cut up my first pair of Ksubi jeans, turning them into shorts over 10 years ago.

“I’ve been chopping, stitching and customising my denim pieces for years, and now I’ve created my dream denim pieces in the perfect blue wash for everyone to wear.”

Ksubi CEO Craig King said the new collection is a way of marking Ksubi's retail return to Australia in 2024, opening two stores in Sydney and Melbourne.

“With Ksubi’s return to Australia, Elle was the perfect Sydney denim muse.” King said. “Working with Elle feels like home having crossed paths with her at General Pants Co. 15 years ago.

“Her signature denim aesthetic is timeless and exactly where we wanted to play with this collaboration.”

Ksubi was founded in the Northern suburbs of Sydney, and has since grown internationally. Ksubi operates seven stores globally, with stockists including Culture Kings, Glue Store and David Jones. The Ksubi by Elle range will be sold via its onlien website, and across all stores and select retail partners.
