Australian distributor Sunshades Eyewear has inked an extended deal with French luxury label Kering Eyewear to continue distributing the brand across Australia and New Zealand through to June 2027.

This is two years beyond its initially planned handover in June 2025.

According to both parties, this extension “reinforces the trust and confidence Kering places in Sunshades' expertise, operational excellence, and commitment to delivering outstanding results.”

Sunshades also manages the distribution of nearly 20 other branded eyewear, including luxury brands such as Balenciaga, Cartier and Gucci.

“We are proud of what we’ve built together, and Kering’s continued confidence in our team and operations speaks volumes,” Sunshades CEO Rodney Grunseit said.

“This milestone is a testament to our collective effort, passion, and commitment to driving growth. Sunshades remains dedicated to elevating the eyewear industry in Australia, New Zealand, and beyond.”

Beyond luxury, Sunshades also manages Australian-owned brands, including Le Specs which is stocked in over 50 countries, as well as Oroton, Ksubi and Camilla, and emerging label Luv Lou.
