Australian luggage brand July has struck a partnership between Virgin Australia and Visit Victoria to design 200 suitcases for a competition.
The competition will be communicated across digital and social media, as well as in July shopfronts and Virgin Australia airport lounges in Sydney and Brisbane.
As well as giving away 200 suitcases, one winner will receive a trip to Melbourne. The competition will close at midnight on August 13.
The partnership will also include a treasure hunt through Melbourne where influencers are expected to share city landmarks through content.
“This unique partnership not only reflects our shared passion for seamless travel experiences but also celebrates the beauty of exploring new horizons,” July co-founder and CEO Richard Li said.
Virgin Australia CMO Libby Minogue called the limited edition range a unique strategy for the airline.
“The exclusive July suitcase has been designed with our guests in mind – from the compact size that can be stowed under our aircraft seats, to a bespoke colour scheme, Melbourne iconography case lining and more.”
“We are proud to get these limited-edition suitcases out into the world and look forward to seeing them with their lucky owners on board Virgin Australia soon.”
July recently launched a dedicated e-commerce site for Aotearoa/New Zealand earlier this year.
In late 2022, Virgin's Velocity Frequent Flyer loyalty program locked in a strategic partnership with Myer, allowing Myer One members to use their Frequent Flyer points on Myer purchases.
