Global retailer JD Sports is set to relocate in Highpoint with the opening of a megastore in Maribyrnong on December 5.
The new location will mark JD Sports’ largest store in the Southern Hemisphere, with the retailer managing 67 locations across Australia.
“We're extremely excited to open our megastore in Victoria at Highpoint Shopping Centre”, JD Sports ANZ CEO Aaron Faraguna said. “This is our largest store in the Southern Hemisphere to date, and our loyal customers can expect exclusive product ranges as well as first-to-market digital store elements.
“JD Sports Highpoint will also offer one-of-a-kind activation zones to shoppers leading up to Christmas.”
The store will included elevated brand shop-in-shops alongside first-to-market CX technology such as in-store activation zones, a Footwear Sushi Train, and digital based Home of Air Nike shop-in-shop.
While Highpoint isn't a new centre for JD, the relocated store will serve as a megastore execution, joining the likes of Berlin, London and Paris.
Leading up to Christmas, activation zones will offer shoppers special gifts with purchases, including JD Sports gift cards and miniature Nike Air Max 95s, alongside a photobooth, live DJs, JD duffle bag customisation, and complimentary gift wrapping.
The store will stock a diverse range of footwear, apparel and accessories, alongside a curated selection of JD global exclusives and sneaker style drops, including iconic Nike Air Max 95s, Nike Shox, Adidas Originals Sambas, retro Air Jordans and New Balance 740s.
