Blue Illusion has signed international icon Iris Apfel for an "Ageless" autumn campaign.
Blue Illusion co-founder Donna Guest said Apfel is a natural fit for the brand.
“Her wonderful obsession with colour and pattern is eye catching, she is eye catching. So to me, Iris is Blue Illusion. She’s a real woman with a sense of self and holds no apologises only ‘oops’ at least I tried.”
The Ageless AW16 campaign was photographed in her hometown of New York City with Daniela Federici behind the lens.
Highlights from the collection include a three-in-one trench coat and paneled leather jacket; the Raquel shaping jean in charcoal and; faux wrap knit dresses and waterfall cardigans.
Fabrications include brushed merino wool, silk, superfine cotton and cashmere in a palette ranging from licorice and deep turquoise to berry.
Tailored signature floral prints, French stitch detailing and patchwork appliqué all feature within the design work of the collection.
Blue Illusion has also launched a rewards-based loyalty program, mobile app and video styling series for the season.
