Intimate apparel retailer Honey Birdette has had a rough start to Valentine's Day.
Earlier this morning, dozens of former staff and activists staged a protest outside its head office in Sydney's Surry Hills.
The protest is part of an ongoing campaign to improve work conditions.
Flyers with the hashtag #breakupwithBirdette were issued at the protest, with calls to shop at competitor brands such as Bendon and Huit.
The Young Workers Centre, along with current and former employees, allege Honey Birdette has no program to avoid harrasment of staff by customers.
In addition to protests across Melbourne and Sydney, an online petition with over 7000 signatures has also gathered speed.
