Heinemann Australia has launched pop-up activations at Sydney Airport and Gold Coast Airport amid its European Summer retail program.

The pop-ups will sell a curation of fragrances, skincare, sunglasses and spirits, housed within a yellow variant colourway and rustic flooring.

The pop-ups will be promoted across digital channels including Heinemann’s web shop, social media, and electronic direct mailers, while the EuroSummer campaign will be featured on digital screens in-store.

Sunglasses brands include Gucci, Bottega Veneta, Chloe and Balenciaga, with fragrances from other labels such as Dolce & Gabanna, Giorgio Armani and Versace.

“We are delighted to offer this new concept in Sydney and Gold Coast, creating our own small corner of the Mediterranean as travellers escape Australia’s winter season,” Heinemann Australia managing director George Tsoukalas said.

“Our European Summer program is our latest initiative to make the airport a destination in and of itself, by creating constantly evolving and inspiring experiences.”

The Heinemann EuroSummer program is running from July until the end of August.

Heinemann has been operating in Sydney Airport since 2015 after it won the nearly 10,000 sqm master duty-free concession in Terminal 1. Its duty-free concession contract was renewed in 2019 for an additional ten years.

Terminal 1 now offers a new luxury beauty, fashion and accessories store at Sydney Airport. Heinemann opens its department store concept in Sydney Airport’s domestic terminals later in 2023.

Heinemann Australia won the seven-year Gold Coast duty-free contract in 2018 and currently operates in both departures and arrivals across a total of 730 sqm.

Heinemann has been operating since 1879 and currently has distribution partnerships with leading local duty-free operators in the Asia Pacific region, including airports, cruise liners, borders, downtowns and diplomatic shops.
