Jayson Brunsdon and Leona Edmiston are among brands driving the relaunch of Harris Scarfe's fashion department.
In 2020, Harris Scarfe was saved from receivership after administrators secured a buyer for the 170-year-old business.
Spotlight Group, which currently owns and operates Spotlight, Anaconda and Mountain Designs retail stores, purchased the retailer with plans to revive its offering.
Speaking to Ragtrader, Harris Scarfe CEO Graham Dean confirmed the fashion category has seen significant developments.
"In the last 12 months of Harris Scarfe’s fashion department relaunch we’ve seen existing designer, Jane Lamerton joined by Jayson Brunsdon, Leona Edmiston and Stella and Estelle, kicking off with on trend, affordable everyday pieces last autumn.
"In 2021, we also welcomed Giaan Rooney to the Harris Scarfe family as an ambassador and head designer of her exclusive activewear range, GR by Giaan Rooney."
In menswear, US Polo Assn has grown to become a key player across the range, alongside the addition of Lee Cooper.
"With a robust list of women’s designer’s, we’re looking forward to continuing to introduce new ranges from these designers each season and are pleased to welcome back Bendon’s range of brands into the Harris Scarfe intimates department," Dean said.
The department store has also expanded its private label range, with Savannah and Khoko remaining as key performers in women’s outerwear.
Meanwhile, Khoko has consolidated its core range while expanding into office workwear, as consumers continue to make their way back to the office in a full-time capacity.
LMA Active has also recently introduced seamless activewear while JC Lanyon and Bronson have cemented a strong position in the menswear category.
Amid the revival, Harris Scarfe has welcomed Stephen Bennetts as its GM of Merchandise.
"Stephen joins the team as an experienced merchandise leader and a very highly regarded manager of teams," Dean said.
"He is focused on leveraging the learnings of the Harris Scarfe programme to date and supporting the team as they continue to develop the ranges."
