Harris Scarfe is set to build a content hub and drive retail expansion across South East Queensland, Ragtrader can reveal.
Following the relaunch of its fashion portfolio, CEO Graham Dean confirmed the department store is on track to revamp its eCommerce operations.
This includes a significant build in exclusive content on its website hub harrisscarfe.com.au/hub.
"We have some exciting developments in store for the next phase of our web site development," Dean said. "Offline, it’s about continuing the improvement of the existing store base, with improvements in fixtures, layouts and visual merchandising across the fleet."
Harris Scarfe has added four new stores to its network, including significant growth into South East Queensland and more locations to come throughout the year.
In April, the department store opened its biggest Home store at Burleigh Heads with a design developed under new owners Spotlight Group.
Dean said it has been leveraging its capabilities across the business, including support as global supply chains recover from COVID-19.
"Harris Scarfe is continuing to be supported by the Spotlight Group in staying well ahead of the curve in terms of purchases," he said.
"We’re also working closely with our suppliers to overcome the current supply chain challenges and thank our suppliers for their ongoing support.
"As one of Australia’s oldest retailers, we’re continuing to innovate and expand our warehousing capacity as well as negotiate group level shipping costs to ensure we remain competitive for our consumers.
"This is allowing us to unlock opportunities to leverage group volumes in overseas sourcing and logistics."
