Department store Harris Scarfe has announced it will restructure its apparel category to focus on price, brand and quality.

Starting with its spring/summer 2017 offering, the retailer will widen its fashion range at a lower price and will include multi-buy deals.

It will also action frequent stock updates to boost its offering.

Harris Scarfe GM of fashion Nicole Naccarella has spearheaded the rejuvenation and believes the strategy will strengthen the business.

“We have rationalised our product, with each brand now providing a definitive purpose and direction.

"The brands have improved on the attention to detail and quality, from hemlines to cut, fabric, and the feel and flow of garments."

The retailer will offer discounted goods throughout the store including 30% off fashion accessories, handbags and footwear as well as 40% off bras.

Harris Scarfe GM of marketing Simon Burrett said that the restructure will aim to capture a consumer-centric approach to retailing.

“Harris Scarfe has driven change and realigned to become more customer-centric. This is at the core of our re-boot offering.

"The strategic plan driving this campaign is also powering the growth of the department store.

"An expanding national footprint, including store refurbishments and the evolution of Harris Scarfe store aesthetics."

Harris Scarfe recently struck a franchise partnership with UK department store Debenhams that will see the retailer phased into stores later this year.
