Global fashion retailer H&M has collaborated with Spanish fashion house Paco Rabanne, with the collection initially being rolled out in four locations across Australia and New Zealand from November 9.

Locations include Chadstone Shopping Centre and GPO Melbourne in Victoria, Sydney’s Pitt Street Mall in New South Wales, and Commercial Bay in Auckland, New Zealand. It will also be sold online.

The collection includes womenswear, menswear, shoes and accessories.

“Rabanne’s metallic dresses are instantly recognisable pieces of fashion history,” H&M creative advisor and head of design womenswear Ann-Sofie Johansson said.

“We’re thrilled to bring a dazzling array of Rabanne designs to our customers with this sensational collaboration.”

Rabanne creative director Julien Dossena, who took on the role in 2013, said the collaborative collection explores hedonism and empowerment.

“I was very enthusiastic to work with H&M on a collection that will introduce Rabanne’s avant-garde energy to a wider audience in a democratic way.”

H&M has collaborated with major global fashion houses since 2004, including with Versace, Balmain, Maison Margiela, Stella McCartney and more recently with Mugler.

The launch of the Rabanne H&M collaboration was announced at an event in Paris earlier this week.
