Sporting lifestyle brand Salomon will open its first-ever retail store in Australia since selling in the market online and through wholesale for the last few years.
The new 140 square metre store is expected to open in the fourth quarter of 2024 at Chadstone Shopping Centre in Melbourne.
Located on the lower ground floor within the Sports Precinct, the store will stock a range of Salomon’s premium-priced footwear, apparel and accessories for men and women across running, hiking and general outdoors.
The brand also sells ski and snowboarding categories, and stocks sneakers.
“We are incredibly excited and proud to be opening this store at Chadstone Shopping Centre,” head of Salomon ANZ Graeme Moore said. “Since 1947, Salomon has established a rich heritage in mountain sports originating from a small workshop in Annecy located in the French Alps.
“The launch of our new brand store at Chadstone provides a wonderful opportunity to share our passion for modern mountain sports lifestyle with our growing community, within one of the most recognized shopping districts in the region.”
As well as online, Salomon is stocked across various retailers nationally, including at Kathmandu, Anaconda, and Paddy Palin.
Globally, Salomon can be found in over 10,000 physical distribution points according to its website, with a selection of owned stores and outlets across Europe, North and South America and Asia.
