Australian fashion label Forever New has appointed Jacquelyn Wellington as the brand’s first-ever global general manager of design, commencing in April 2025.

This newly created role marks a “pivotal moment”, according to Forever New, as the fashion brand continues to expand its global influence.

Wellington has jumped over into the new role from Aje, where she was the creative director for design. She has also held senior roles at Zimmermann, Veronika Maine and Isabel Marant.

"With the appointment of this new role, we are taking an exciting step forward in refining and elevating our creative vision,” Forever New managing director Carolyn Mackenzie said.

“This role is crucial as we continue to innovate and create exceptional, compelling designs that resonate with our customers.

“We are confident that with Jacquelyn’s leadership and expertise, we will push boundaries and set new standards in our creative space whilst staying true to our signature feminine style. I look forward to welcoming her to the team.”

Wellington’s work blends feminine designs with elevated details, and brings extensive international experience in fashion design, leadership and creative strategy.

“I am honoured to be joining Forever New, an iconic Australian brand, at such an exciting moment in its trajectory,” Wellington said.

“I look forward to leading the creative vision and collections to even greater heights through the next stages of growth and elevation.”

Forever New was born in Melbourne in 2006 and has since grown to trade in over 25 countries – and as Ever New in Canada, the US and the Philippines – with almost 400 retail and concession stores globally.
