Queenstown fashion label claire bloom and it's Welsh-born designer behind the brand, Claire Brinsley, are celebrating a milestone of 10 years in business.
In a constantly changing industry, Claire Brinsley has attributed the brands success to her core belief, providing quality garments to women of all ages.
“Celebrating my 10th anniversary is a significant milestone in an industry where fast and disposable fashion is rife.
“There’s an over-saturation in the market right now of certain labels, so I’m determinedly different, not like everybody else,” she said.
Brinsley remains excited by the fashion industry and its constantly changing landscape, noting the recent trend of New Zealand women breaking the 'dress in black' mould.
“It’s fantastic to see women confident in colour. I only include a couple of black garments each season, just to be ‘safe’, otherwise I love letting rip with colour,” Brinsley said.
Commenting on her favourite fashion moments, Brinsley said, “my many favourite moments are seeing women wearing my label and looking so beautiful. That’s the biggest reward of all, and I still get a real buzz.”
Working out of her rural home near Arrowtown, she continues to “design from the heart”, whilst playing a supportive role within the community.
