Australia’s oldest jewellery house Fairfax & Roberts has appointed Joshua Rogers as chief executive officer.

Rogers joined the jeweller in 2019 and spent the last five years as head of retail. Prior to this, he held management roles at Watches of Switzerland Australia and Angus and Coote.

“We are delighted to announce Joshua Rogers as the new CEO of Fairfax & Roberts,” owner Irene Deutsch said.

“With his commitment to quality and craftsmanship coupled with his expertise, experience and industry knowledge, Rogers will be instrumental in driving Fairfax & Roberts to new heights in the coming years and I look forward to continuing to work with him in his new role.”

Rogers’ appointment comes ahead of Fairfax & Roberts’ showroom relocation to Sydney’s ‘Luxury Mile’ on King Street from May 2025. The move marks the brand’s fourth showroom in its 167 year history, moving from its current Castlereagh Street location.

Situated over two floors, the new 200 square metre Fairfax & Roberts showroom will be located on the corner of King St and Sydney Arcade. The grand opening date for the new showroom will be revealed in the coming weeks.

Rogers welcomed the new role, saying he is eager to continue to build on the jeweller’s longstanding legacy.

“As we relocate the iconic showroom to King St, just moments from the current Castlereagh Street address, we look forward to showcasing our rich history whilst providing a contemporary space that reflects our modern evolution,” Rogers said.

Marking his sixth year at Fairfax & Roberts in 2025, Deutsch says Rogers will lead the brand through its next phase.

“We look forward to welcoming our valued customers and the wider community to visit our new showroom in the months ahead, where the timeless elegance of our pieces will be presented alongside fresh, innovative touches that capture the spirit of the brand today,” Deutsch said.

“This new chapter is a reflection of our commitment to both tradition and forward-thinking design.”
