Fashion and retail executive Eric Morris has been appointed as the chair of both eStar and Viare - an e-commerce and order management software provider in Australia.
Morris holds over 30 years of experience in the retail, wholesale and marketing space.
His executive career began with Reebok in South Africa, growing to regional director of Asia Pacific. He then took on a similar role at The Walt Disney Company in early 2000s, before moving to Myer as the general manager of private brands.
His longest stint was as the CEO of The PAS Group from 2005 to 2022, and stuck with the business in the same role when it merged with Brand Collective. Morris left his last CEO role in July last year, and has since moved into board roles across the industry, including joining the eStar board in December 2023.
"I am thrilled to take on the role of chair and excited to continue supporting eStar’s journey,” Morris said. “Since joining the board, I’ve seen firsthand the incredible potential of the company. With my experience, I aim to help eStar and Viare achieve their strategic goals and thrive in the evolving digital commerce landscape."
This leadership change follows the resignation of Al Monro, who stepped down after 10 years on the eStar and Viare board, including a tenure as chair.
