The Walt Disney Company’s local online retailer Disney Store has opened a new warehouse in Truganina, Victoria in a bid to speed up fulfilment ahead of the upcoming peak trading period.

The Disney Store sells toys, lifestyle products, apparel and costuming via an online website.

Speaking with Ragtrader, Disney APAC vice president of retail Sara Grewal said she and her team are working with CEVA Logistics for the fulfilment of items to its Australia and New Zealand customers.

“This new warehouse decreases the average delivery time to Australia guests by more than half, compared to shipping from outside of Australia,” Grewal said. “This gives our guests faster access to the thousands of products available.

It also follows the launch of the Disney Store website, replacing the Shop Disney store that was launched locally in 2022.

“We continually seek out new ways to bring the magic of Disney, Pixar, Marvel and Star Wars products closer to Australia fans, which is one of the reasons for launching a warehouse in Australia,” Grewal said. “Our goal is to connect fans with official and authentic merchandise made just for Disney Store.”

The new warehouse comes amid growth across its product ranges, with new items being launched every week according to Grewal.

“This includes expanding the special ranges we offer from our global partners, like Disney Store Japan. And we’re looking forward to giving guests more chances to touch and feel our products through pop-up, in-person experiences in 2025 and beyond.”

Ahead of the Christmas peak period, Grewal said the top gifting products are its Toy Story talking action figures, alongside its homewares range that caters for adults.
