Australian Olympic swimmer Emma McKeon has been named as one of Christian Dior’s ambassadors for the 2024 Olympic and Paralympic Games in Paris.

Dior called it a virtuoso partnership that is a “natural reflection of Dior's fascination with the values of sport, such as discipline, perseverance, and respect, but above all the desire to stretch, ever further, the limits of intrepid excellence.”

McKeon also shared the news via Instagram, saying she has long been an admirer of Christian Dior and welcomed the brand’s support.

This comes as the French fashion house named 14 other top international female athletes as brand ambassadors according to various media sources, which includes United States soccer player Alex Morgan, Jamaican sprinter Elaine Thompson-Herah, Hawaiian surfer Carissa Moore, Japanese fencer Misaki Emura, as well as six Italian athletes and four from France.

Dior operates 12 retail spaces across Australia, including owned doors and David Jones shop-in-shops.

In the first quarter of 2024, the Christian Dior group recorded revenue of €20.7 billion (A$33.83 billion) - a growth of 3 per cent.
