Here at Ragtrader, we like to bring a smile to your face.

And today's smile comes in the form of designer dog accessories from Pooch & Hound.

The label was established during COVID-19 to address to gap in the market for high-quality pet accessories.

The launch of the label comes at the opportune time, with 40% of Australian households now owning a dog - many of which were welcomed to families during lockdown.

Additionally, market researcher Million Insights expects the global Dog Clothing and Accessories Market to be worth USD$16.61 billion by 2028 - expanding at a compound annual growth rate (CAGR) of 6.9% from 2021 to 2028.

Womenswear label Torannce designer Julia Hemingway is leading the creative direction for the brand.

"The pet industry is a growing space, especially after COVID," Hemingway said.

"However, we found there was a gap in the market for a pet label with a high-end look and feel.

"Essentially, we wanted to create a high-end fashion label for your fur baby," she said.

Pooch & Hound's debut collection is centred on hand-painted prints, with florals, abstract, check and leopard prints featuring across bandanas, bow ties, leads, collars and waste bags in the first collection.

Each piece in the collection is created using a linen-cotton blend and is finished with matte gold and silver hardware.

And there are already plans in the works for the second collection.

Pooch & Hound said its second collection will feature an extended product line and include cable knit jumpers and dog coats in matching prints.

Additionally, Pooch & Hound is set to collaborate with its sister label Torannce to create matching prints so customers can match with their pups.

Pooch & Hound's SS21/22 collection is available online now and retails from $15 to $30.

Naturally, we had to download all of the pictures of the dogs, so please enjoy scrolling through them in the gallery above.
