Decathlon has doubled down on its annual 'Snow Sale' this year in response to broader supply shortages.

The international sports chain has increased units of snow and winter gear, following Aldi's decision to cancel its annual Snow Gear Special Buys due to supply chain issues.

Decathlon Australia CEO Olivier Robinet said the retailer has not been experiencing the same level of delays as competitors.

"We are the world's largest sports products designer, manufacturer and retailer and we want the entire country to know that we don’t have any issues with supply," he said.

"As a global business, not only do we have the ability to move stock around to where it is needed, we are also airfreighting skis and toboggans into Australia in June direct from France to ensure we have plenty of winter snow gear this year.

"Our super snow sale is awesome and we want all ALDI customers to know that they can come to us."

The sale will include ski boots, shoes, helmets, goggles, jackets, pants, gloves, beanies, thermals, skis and toboggans.

Decathlon launched in Australia in 2017 and now has seven stores across Victoria and NSW. NSW: Tempe, Auburn and Miranda. Victoria: Box Hill, Moorabbin, Knox Field and South Morang.
