True Alliance CEO David Smith has announced his plans to retire from his leading role at the end of June 24.
Smith’s career at True Alliance spans 22 years, where he began as group general manager. In 2011, he was appointed to the role of CEO. Prior to True Alliance, he worked at global luxury retailer DFS Group.
“Over two decades, I have had the opportunity to interact with the most amazing cohort of people,” Smith shared to LinkedIn. “Thank you to everyone I have worked with and met throughout my career, each one of you has helped to shape me into the person I am today.
“I will be taking the next 12 months to travel, move state, smell the roses and continue to tick things off that bucket list. I would however love to keep in touch with my many connections here on Linkedin. You never know..... I may just feel the need to get back into the saddle with some work projects in the future.
“So, for now, take care and remember: a career should be a journey to be enjoyed, if its not, you are in the wrong career. Life is too short, live it.”
