Los Angeles fashion brand Favorite Daughter has entered the Australian market in an exclusive launch through David Jones.

The premium womenswear label was launched in January 2021, and has since reportedly accrued a cult following in the United States, while expanding to two owned retail stores.

Launched by Erin and Sara Foster, the brand sells a range of casual and smart casual wear for women, with prices from high double-digits to mid-triple digits.

The exclusive collection for David Jones will feature a curated range of Favorite Daughter’s top styles, including polished blazers and tailored trousers, silk date blouses and shirting, and logo sweaters – the brands strongest category – alongside denimwear.

“We are incredibly excited to launch Favorite Daughter in David Jones,” founders Erin and Sara Foster said. “We get so many messages begging for us to be in Australia and we can finally say we are there, and with such a phenomenal partner.”

Executive GM of womenswear, footwear and accessories Bridget Veals said the new brand launch is a key win for David Jones customers.

“As we celebrate their exclusive department store launch in Australia, this partnership presents our customers with the exciting opportunity to experience one of the most successful and talked-about emerging labels from the US,” Veals said.

“The brand’s strong connection with its loyal US customer base speaks to Erin and Sara’s dedication to creating pieces that women truly love and wear, again and again.

“We’re pleased to introduce their expanding collection of apparel, denim, suiting, and accessories to the Australian market, offering local fans the chance to experience firsthand the beautifully crafted, versatile designs that have made Favorite Daughter a cult favourite.”
