David Jones has reintroduced the David Jones Home Collection, a range of contemporary homeware available in all David Jones stores and online for SS19.

For the first time since its conception in 2008, the David Jones Home Collection is now designed, packaged and curated under a single, cohesive brand presence.

The venture follows an announcement last week that David Jones will cut 120 jobs from its head office and suburban store network, after posting a 0.8% decrease in sales in FY19.

The new launch will aim to reinvigorate sales in the booming homewares space.

The collection spans bed linen, tableware, glassware, napery, bakeware and home décor with a renewed focus on refined detailing and high quality materials.

David Jones GM of home Chris Wilson said the launch was long in the making.

“The relaunch of David Jones Home Collection is a product of many years of meticulous planning and design.

"Our objective for the SS19 collection has been to reintroduce the range with a versatile, timeless, unified offering, and the result of this is superbly crafted homeware that appeals to our customers’ aesthetic and provides a premium solution for their homes.”

A palette of chalky pastels and warm neutrals underpin the collection, which features natural textiles such as yarn dyed linens.

David Jones Home Collection SS19 is available from today in all stores and online.

It joins the 180 year old department store’s existing private ranges across women's, men's, children's fashion and food.
